Satellite of Love Lyrics

The satellite's gone
Up to the sky
Things like that drive me
Out of my mind
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...

The satellite's gone
Way up to Mars
Soon it will be filled
With parking cars
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...

I've been told that you've been bold
With Harry, Mark and John
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Harry, Mark and John

The satellite's gone
Up to the sky
Things like that they drive me
Out of my mind
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...
The satellite's gone
Up to the sky
Things like that drive me
Out of my mind
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...

The satellite's gone
Way up to Mars
Soon it will be filled
With parking cars
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...

I've been told that you've been bold
With Harry, Mark and John
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Harry, Mark and John

The satellite's gone
Up to the sky
Things like that they drive me
Out of my mind
I watched it for a little while
I love to watch things on TV

Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of love
Satellite of...

Whenever I hear this song, I always think of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Primarily because the title and the name of the spaceship on the show share the same name. There are some other nods to the show in the lyrics, the entire first verse for example. But that's just my two cents. Thoughts?

Wow, almost a year to the day. Spooky.

Anyway, I just found out that the MST3K ship is named after the Lou Reed song 'Satellite of Love', which this is actually a cover of. So never mind.
