Not one of the Beach Boys better efforts on their otherwise pretty good 1985 self-titled album. The song is a random cover, and goes absolutely nowhere, and is way too long at 5 minutes. All that said, it's still better than most of their 70's stuff.

Is "passing friend" even proper English? I've heard the phrase " the passing of a friend" before, but never "passing friend".
