I Can Hear Music Lyrics
Ahhhhhh oooooo
This is the way
I always dreamed it would be
The way that it is, oh oh
When you are holding me
I never had a love of my own
Maybe that's why when we're all alone
I can hear music
I can hear music
The sound of the city baby seems to disappear
I can hear music
Sweet sweet music
Whenever you touch me baby
Whenever you're near
Lovin' you
It keeps me satisfied
And I can't explain, oh no
The way I'm feeling inside
You look at me we kiss and then
I close my eyes and here it comes again
I can hear music
I can hear music
The sound of the city baby seems to disappear
I can hear music
Sweet sweet music
Whenever you touch me baby
Whenever you're near
I hear the music all the time, yeah
I hear the music, hold me tight now baby
I hear the music all the time
I hear the music
I hear the music (baby)
Ahhhhh
I can hear music
I can hear music
The sound of the city baby seems to disappear
I can hear music

This was written by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and Phil Spector, and originally recorded by one of Spector's girl groups, The Ronettes. I prefer the Beach Boys' version.
Pretty self-explanatory meaning: Ever fallen in love and every time she's around, the world just seems to sing? Yeah...
I totally love this song! It's about being in love and when you are with that person, nothing else matters but you and the one you love!
love song about msuic to music from music by music, gotta love that great, accapella solo – that is what God SOUNDS like
Amazing love song.
The Ronettes do a great cover, too.
agree with blue waves. Lyrically it's a pretty straight forward love song. Melodically, it's gorgeous, so props to Barry/Greenwich/Spector. I don't know how popular either version was back in the day, but it deserves more credit. I'd not heard it until I went on a Beach Boys binge this year. Vocally, Carl is at the top of his game here, just beautiful. I've heard that this is regarded as the point where Carl effectively assumed the position as musical leader within the band.
A good song, representative of their Brother/Reprise years I believe.
