I agree with LiveUrLife. The lyrics here are so ridiculously incorrect though.
He's loving her like the one he used to know because they used to be together, probably dating but have drifted apart. He's having a hard time letting go of her. He thinks he could love her like the sister he never had because it's a deep unconditional love like one has with a sibling, but this is in addition to his romantic feelings for her as well. I think the song says "and you held and you tried" (not what the lyrics here say at all) showing that they both have previously tried to make the relationship work in the past but for whatever reason (probably her never having time for him now), can't make it work.

i really like this song i dont know if i completely understand it, i think its about refalling in love with someone. You've been together with someone for a while and it just starting not to work out anymore andhes kinda reminding himself that he loves her and he wont let go that easy, the whole we are one thing i guess means that he feels like they have become a part of each other. i dunno im going out on a limb here.
I believe the first sentence reads "Sat out talkin out one night" and i believe where you have what its either say or save.

ok, first of all that first line...i think its "said ill talk an hour (or 'another') mile...". Then at the beginning of the second verse, he says "to my left i saw the time, flash and fall it seems to swallow you, i could love you like the sister i never had..." not something about a web. And that word you said what to, is "ill send you, ill send you". As far as meaning, it fits with the movie's theme guys. "We are one inside these walls, undercover..." They have this love but they have to keep it secret. She is someone who can understand him and he truly loves her, "and you held and you tried, i could never find another..."

i think it would make more sense if the part where you wrote "i will send ya" is "i will save you". that's just my opinion, but i really like this song and it was the first pete yorn song that i heard. of course it kinda doesn't sound like his other stuff but maybe i haven't listened to enough of his stuff to really judge. but overall this is my fav pete yorn song.
umm, hmm, i don't know the exact lyrics but to me it sounds nicer if the "what" part was "i'll save you, i'll save you" and the first line i think it's "save the talkin and i won't mind" but maybe i'm hearing wrong. this was the first pete yorn song i heard and i'm a pete yorn fan now. but this doesn't really sound like his other stuff does it? this is my fav pete yorn song.
i think its about a guy and a girl who have been close friends for a long time... so the idea of having a relationship is a little strange to them (there was hardly lust between us) but the guy is sick of seeing the girl be mistreated by other guys and knows she deserves more than that...and finally realizes they should be together. no matter what happens and what people say he will be there for her, because hes known her long enough to know she deserves it.
