Life's a struggle that we all suffer through. This song is a plea to someone, maybe many people, to define themselves. He wants to know what it is going to take for them to harness the "light in their eyes" and define themself.

This is probably my favorite out of all of Mad At Gravity's songs. It seems to me that this song means that life gets rough and he is asking if the inspiration, possibly someone, will keep him "soldiering on" or if that inspiration is going to give up on him.

I agree with Jayemel that in part the song is about the strugle in life though i also evenisioned it as him asking someone his partner or someone special to him whether she will still be there and that will she always be there for him and love him as he does her

'And after the fire has died (Let the fire die) Will the light still remain in your eyes? (Turn to ashes) And after the darkness has swallowed every sign Will you still be there undefined?'

And maybe its something like he has porblems like he has a clinicla problem suicide depression scitsophrenia or bipolar that affects his relationship and maybe distances his partner from him and not matter the stuggles he wasnt to know she will still be there
