hey, all! i think that it means as follows:(from peters veiw) (oh, and if you haven't seen the movie, and you're still reading,you are warned!) it's his fault that his uncle died, so he can hear heaven, he can hear death, basically, but no one listens to him and his guilt becuase they don't understand. and a hero should have saved him, so he has to play the hero to save others, and he's "flying" on webs around town and no one saves him, no hero for him, he saves everyone, and how can love save him if he has to save every one by himself? and he says that the perfect world never came... and the bit about "Now that the world isnt ending, its love that Im sending to you. It isnt the love of a hero, and thats why I fear it wont do. " is that now he has time to love, but he still doesn't think himself a hero, he can't save every single person, so "it won't do" 'cuz it won't save her, it will just make her a target, once again, for whoever want's to get to him. oh, and anna118k, you musta misunderstood the ending if you didn't belive it. first, I agree with MeticulousyBland that sacred silence means death and so on. But I personally feel liek mixing some thoughts here. A bunch of people agreed that 'Sacred Silence and sleep' had to be ways to forget the toxic-ness of the city, take a vacation, if oyu will. But some other people think it would be insanity to be in the middle. I don't. I think the balance between the two is kinda like the Acid and Base, both destroy stuff, but they are oppsites. Wich would make awake people stuck between the sacred silence and sleep, basically, ofrced to notice how f-ed up society is... i don't think that technology is the problem... I think humans are the problem. I mean, read the story Monkey's Paw. Nobody thinks about anythign but what they want and what they get and why can't they have more, never what they NEED and what other people NEED and what nature NEEDS. I also agree with the person that said this is nature waking up and having a hissy-fit over the stupid humans. and with who said that about the tire hub, only wanting to go faster, never noticing what they pass... that one was good... oh! I just looked up at the lyrics again, and noticed soemhtign! New, what do you own the world? what is up with people thinking this is about a guy who hates his ex-gf for making him feel bad? ti mgith ahve somehting to do with a typo in the lyrics i found, I already reported it. here: this part: 'It's not like you to say sorry I was waiting on a different story This time I'm mistaken For handing you a heart worth breakin' ' should be: 'It's not liek you, so sorry I was plannign on a different story This time I'm thinkin Fore handing oyu a heart worth breakin' ' See, it means that he was saying sorry for messing up i some way that wasn't ehr, liek going to the wrong place to date, he had planned on somehting better, she doesn't sound veyr forgiveing, and the last bit is how he wan't go back to her after what seemed like she dumped him cause he's thinking this time.... Anyone care to think it though? How does this say that the dude is and asshole? This is about a niuce guy's crapy relationship with a mean and controling bitch.. Also, it says 'I'm sick of sight without a sense of feeling' which i think means that what he sees don't make snese, it doesn't feel as real as what he thinks. i think he might be seeing that in ordinary life, to the ordinary eye that he woudl eb an idiot to give up the relationship, but he knows better, that the truth isn't seen, it's felt, so it means he is sick of seein what he knows isn't there, the feelign of truth in the picture perfect world. As far as 'this is how you remeind me of what i really am' and ect, thats becasue he can tell what he is by that feelign of truth.. Seh mgith want to go to a jazz thing, which would force him to realize that eh thinks jazz sucks, she reminds him cause he faces it inside whenever they are different....
