i agree...this song is excellent. bright eyes is one of the few bands that can sing rather long songs that hold my attention the whole way through. this is definitely one of my top songs off "lifted..."
and artemis_ebb, i had always thought of the whiskey and pills part as a failed suicide attempt, but of course im not positive. |

This is definitely my favorite song off of "Lifted...." There is something in each stanza that i can relate to. The part about love being a lottery is so sad but seems so true sometimes. I love all the metaphors also. I cannot wait to see Conor live in October. =) |

this is such a beautiful song...conor sings with so much emotion that its hard for me to listen to this song when im extremely depressed. my favorite part is when he sings "and placed it round my neck and they were singing..." his voice really gets to me during the word "neck." i think this is my favorite bright eyes song. |

i love how in this song and some others jesse makes the songs so much more personal by adding his name in the lyrics. for me atleast it makes things more emotional and i can relate because there is someone else feeling the way i feel.

amber...yep silverchair's still together! they actually just released their 4th album "diorama" in australia a little while ago and its gonna be released in the u.s. i think at the end of july. the new stuff is a lot more positive...a lot different than the last albums, but its still good. |
