I always thought this song was about how ETID gets ripped off big time. from the title, to the "Your fucking welcome" line because they gave bands their style. but that nobody does it as intelligently as ETID does due to the sacrifice of discourse line.

i think this song has one of the best synth lines ever. it's extremely 80's and very sweet. when i hear it just takes me to one certain spot, and i think that is the judge of a good song, and this one definitely accomplishes that |

the lyrics are utterly subtle but the song is so beautiful its not about the lyrics, this is about the emotion you get from it, the high singing at the end is unbelievably great. this song is so much more than the lyrics. |

it took me many listens before i finally realized it, around 2:30 in the song, near the end of the breakdown. :and i dont even miss you at all" there is a very subtle scream, turn your speakers up all the way at this point and you will hear this awesome awesome scream, and in these two words you will get teh message of the song, its so great because of the subtleness, when i first heard it, i rewinded and listened to it at least 10 times. pure genius. |

matt skiba is god. dashboard, chris connelly, bright eyes (connor oberst). these are some of the top lyricists out there, and none of them can top skiba. any alkaline tiro song is a stroke of genius and this split only further reminds it. matt skiba is a king, and he doesnt have a bvad voice either. |

this song is about drive-thru. period. they hate drive-thru, suggest u read the interview that was mentioned earlier, but richard and stephany responded to that, and i think u should read both sides. after hearing both sides i have come to a conclusion. midtown puts out a cd, they see NFG's popularity, they do not achieve this, they need someone to blame and they choose there label, for not doing this or that. Drive-thru not talking to them since december dusnt really help though. but none of it matters because midtown is on MCA. so now the question is who's gonna be the next pop star first midtown or dashboard? i think dashboard is gonna b bigger than blink-182 but thats just my guess, and i sure hope it dusnt happen. |
