system of a down said in an interview that this song was written for a good friend of the band that was addicted to herion and eventually o.d. "Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup" meaning hide the track marks, and act like nothign happened "self righteous suicide" sticking the herion needle into his arm. "when angels deserve to die" they used the word angel because the guy was really nice aside from his addiction |
