Look - "Stairway To Heaven " = A path to happiness...
People take drugs to feel better, reach a different place, escape reality. Christians say "Heaven" is this 'different' place.
For an individual to reach this so-called "heaven", they have to go through life without "sin", but with Drugs...a simple hit can get you where u wanna be ( or in some cases, where you dont wanna be ).
When on drugs, no effort is required to reach "heaven"..thats why LZ refer to it as a "stairway" to heaven.....its basically a piggyback ride to this place called "heaven"
The lady who Mr. Palnt is refering to in the beginning of the song, i do not know. But i think that she is buying drugs in an attempt to escape reality...
REMEMBER - " Stairway To Heaven" = A Path To Happiness....

Ok guys / girls......this is 2 weird.....im currently listening to this song...and these lyrics are somewhat different from what i can hear.....jeez its too weird..the poster of these lyrics must have got them from T.D.N...(toolshed.down.net), but i can tell u....nowhere in this song does it say "by making weapons out of my imperfections"....hmmm, maybe its a different version of Undertow?? |
