i cannot believe no one has commented on this song, i heard it when i was a little girl but never really picked up on the words...its about a young girl who is all mixed up, she just couldnt get with any boys so i guess she's having sex with other girls, hence all the girls love alice, gettin you kicks in another girls bed, two middle aged dykes in a Go-Go, i guess in the end she ends up dead, at only 16. its actually a really good song but sometimes listening to it upsets me, i feel bad for alice and i wonder if she is somone elton met when he was struggling with coming to terms with his sexuality. |

how is this not a love song? he talks about eyes, how wonderful life is, buying a house for the two of them. if elton is buying his fans a house, i want dibs on that...but nice try. its a love song....one of my favorite songs of all time. great in moulin rouge too, listen to that version.... |

I have this song by the MONKEES, doesnt anyone know who they are? they're not even listed as an artist from what i can see! well, i dunno about the wondermints, but the monkees did this song for "HEAD" they're psycadellic hippie movie....so this version is very spacey and sounds like they're on LSD....check out the monkees version, its sweet |

i first heard this song when me and my on again off again boyfriend got back together after our first break up, it was the first time id been to his house since we'd been apart for over 5 months. He said there was something he wanted me to hear, so we laid in his bed in the dark and he put it on. ive done some messed up things to him, even though hes the love of my life, and the line "heres to a girl that got inside my head with all the fucked up things i did" is just one of the many lines that struck a chord with me, and with us. needless to say, i started to cry, and he put it on a mix for me. we broke up a few months later, again becuz of something I did!, and when i went on a trip with the new guy i was dating, we were on the bus and i put the mix in and was listening to it, i forgot konstantine was on there, i hadnt heard it in forever, and when it came on my heartsank, and i missed michael like crazy....he was on my mind the rest of the trip. once again we're both single, and talking, but takin things slow. this song to me just goes through the ups and downs of any relationship, and that to me is why its my song to michael and i, and someday hopefully i'll go to sleep, and this time not alone..... |
