i have yet to see an A-F shirt in ANY non-indie stores, so your point has no merit where I am concerned. Only stores I have seen their shirts for sale are in indie music merch stores in my area of Flint, Michigan and their online store and it's affilliates.
This song is about how the U.S. forces it's policies, culture and way of living on other countries to further build their wants of a global empire. They build up a power in a country, put that country into it's debt and then economically terrorize that country into servitude that it would otherwise be free of.
The U.S. develops these primitive third worlds into hubs of technology which actually destroy the lives of the majority who live in poverty. We rape them of their choices, homes and resources and in turn give them shopping malls and highways.
The governemnt (not JUST the U.S.) ARE resonsible for the suffering around the world. When they spend billions of dollars on a war only meant to further their economy and the wealth of only a few in comparison, when they could end world hunger, create general health programs and rebuild delapidated and rundown areas all around the world so that HUMAN BEINGS do not have to die from the poisons in their air and water. |

I'm Catholic by birth, but don't follow Catholicism, so I can definitely understand some anger towards this religious entity. Especially because of the gay issue. They hate gays, but child-molesting priests are given divine favor, so they are okay for some reason...

apparently there are too different versions of this song. but the difference is so small I barely noticed it. The first version I head says like these do "Fuck the world, kill 'em all" but there is a version Anti-Flag's site that says "Fuck the world, fuck 'em all."

Anyone who wants to talk crap about Americans, don't generalize. Not ALL Americans are the same, just as in any country. And not all of the US citizens lie about the countries faults or try to cover up the lie. Another thing, I don't think it is really insulting Americans, because for one, the whole band formed in LA. And Daron and John were both born here in the States. Serj and Shavo were born in the Middle East and brought over here when they were young. I also love how all of the people who originally posted this were dumb enough to think that this was EGO BRAIN, when EGO BRAIN is an entirely different song. I found EGO BRAIN on the Net before I_E_A_I_A_I_O or "Why?" was even out. |

Big Band???!!! Hahahahahahahah-*cough-gag*-haha! The only money that they even make is to pay for the stuff they have to pay for with some llittle amount left over afterwards. Just becuase us Anti-Flag fans like their music doesn't necessarily mean we agree with all their messages. And how the fuck are WE the puppets?? I personally am not an Anarchist. Sure, I wish the world could go back to its primitive (American Indian) ways. But there is no way that will happen. I just wish our government and all governments for that matter would let their citizens live truly free, while protecting them and hey if they make money off of us in the process, oh well, that's what they got into politics for. As long as they did their jobs it's fine to get money. But the fact is, the war in Iraq IS over money! And yea, I agree that getting Hussein out of there was good. To me, this is about how the "American People" view our country as the best because it's our home. Somehow we can treat other countries like crap and kill innocent lives and our people just love it because their country "is just so great." I love this land, but fuck America. America is just it's name. I love the earth that we live on, I wouldn't mind living on a friggin island with waterfalls and caves. it sounds much better.
