This song is definetly about the main character's experience...John was his name, although people knew him as the "savage." In this NEW world, reads, or feels...everyone has sex with whomever they want, and everyone is born through a test tube...it's really crazy!!! John gets so depressed and feels sooo alone that at the end, he commits suicide...i think that's why the song ends with the words: BUT THAT"S IT. If you haven't read the book puh leez do...it was good enough to write a whole song about! |

"Take it or leave it"...to me, it sounds like he's offering his heart to her, and he's telling her, take it or leave it...but NOTICE how he ends each chorus with "oh take it!" He wants her...wants her bad! |
