YEah the guitar is amazing, there is a webpage explaining Jimi's techiniques and arrangement for the song. Bass really supports the track, and drums sound great too....the parts where he slams the drums to make it sound like machine gunfire...awesome. This song got me into Hendrix...just blew me away. |

APPARITIONS was the biggest hit off UNDERDOGS, and it won a few awards in Canada. LOAD ME UP, STRANGE DAYS, and HELLO TIME BOMB were all big hits as well. I also heard SUBURBIA on the radio for a short time |

when you listen to the song, you get the feeling that he's talking about someone he used to date. He slowly realizes that the relationship is not working out (There ain't nothing here at all) and he wants to break it off. This, like all Matt good songs has multiple meanings, and in this song he takes the feelings of emptyness and vacancy associated with suburban living and compares it to his relationship. |

In this song Matt seems to think that he's isolated from the rest of society,"a million miles from nowhere.." and because of this isolation he feels "frantic," and "so, so deformed." To combat this feeling of isolation he turns to drugs "load me up," and "Whatever puts me all the way out." thats what I think anyway. |

I thing this song has something to do with T.V., and how we blow off our friends and family just to watch a black box. In the song, the mother sits down to watch some mind-numbing T.V. show instead of spending time with her daughter, who eventually committs suicide. REALLY great song. |

One of the best MGB songs. Many people think this song has something to do with the columbine school shootings, but I believe that the song is about a mental patient. I think A Boy With A Machine Gun is talking about the way in which humans view things that don't conform with mainstream society. In this song Matt used the example of a mental patient to ask us a question. What gives society the right to say what is acceptable or not. We lock mental patients up with the excuse that " oh he/she is crazy," but who should determine if they are crazy or not. JUst because they have different views or opinions on things we should be allowed to lock these people up. -tell me what you think |

The Beautiful midnight version of the song is incredible. MGB is backed by the London session orchestra which makes this song sound so much better than the original, which was realesed on the Lo Fi B sides album. |
