From what i heard, the lead singer became ubber christian around the second album and that is one of the reasons that it took so long to put this album out. It also sounds to me that this album is the lead singer comming to terms with his mortality, and how will he be judged in the end. He prob is having a hard time with that, since most of the songs on this album give off that vibe. On a side note. If this is a religous album, it was done very well. Not hammering god into your head like terrible christian rock, but showing a man in real turmoil. I also think he is comming to terms with his behavior in the past, maybe too much partying around the first album or too many women. (that would make the corrupting comment a little more relevent.) Just a little conjecture. |

I dont know if it was mentioned yet, but did any one notice the air line. If you are looking at the song from the nuclear holocaust angle: "Because the air outside will make Our cells divide at an alarming rate Until our shells simply cannot hold All our insides in, and that's when we'll explode" Definitly coudl be an allusion to cancer. After a nuclear explosion the radiation levels are so high if you go outside your body will become riddled with cancer. I think its dark imagery disguised as up beat. |

Chino is talkign bout another toxic relationship. It seems the girl is always callign him and he considers her an annoyences. The line "You always sharpen your teeth 'cause you're like that" means shes alwas getting ready to attack him emotionaly. "and you're like that everythime you pull heart back" means her affection never lasts From the sound of it this relationship was realy bad and chino wanted it to end bad. Otherwise one great song on an already great album. |

I think Chino is singing about a relationship with an old girlfriend, where the girl is just leading him on and didnt want to be with him. My friend and his gf never hung out and she always used hte excuse "Im too tired" Also "you choose heaven over the earth and me but come on please..." could mean that the girl is looking to get with guys she considers better then chino. And the wrath that chino is warning about his how he knows hes being mistreated by this girl and is one day goign to let it all out and go off on her. |
