System of a Down – Forest Lyrics 23 years ago
I think this song is about things we take into our minds that are destructive to us. Things like really violent, vulgar movies, pornographic material, etc. That we can derive pleasure from, but that hurt us as well. Some parts refer also to rebellion, such as denial, and no circumcisions which is healthy. Overall, as it comes out in my mind, it's about taking in these "weapons" and turning against what society looks at as normal.

I agree with Fishcakefish, this song also, everytime I listen to it, triggers cannibalism. Not that it has anything to do with the meaning, Also a "cliche" may be misunderstood. the 1st definition is a person with predictable behavior, the second is a overused expression or idea. I think the 2nd fits fishcakefish's explanation.

Creed – I'm Eighteen (Alice Cooper cover) Lyrics 23 years ago
This is one awesome song! It is about Scott's rush out of his home when he was 17. Stapp rushed out of his home, turned down a scholarship and ended up living in his car for a long period of time. in this song he is recolecting his feelings before he left.

Someone answer me one question please. Why isn't this song on the standard U.S. Human Clay album? It's and awesome song with a heavy beat annd Stapp actually tries to do a rap-sing-song thingy in it. The meaning is relatively clear. If you have read a Stapp Bio then you know that his relationship with his father was a bit shaky. When he was 17 he turned down a scholarship and left home, living in a car for a while (how long I'm not sure). He may be relating to this "gap" in his life between this "down time" of his life and later finding himself and getting himself under control as well as relating to his negative father-son relationship. Similar to the other song, "I'm Eighteen."

Creed – To Whom It May Concern Lyrics 23 years ago
This song is great. It's strong, meaningful and has a mix of great beats. In the song Scott Stapp seems to be speaking I assume to a loved one (maybe his wife) and apologizing for some kind of verbal conflict that they were involved in. He hopes that it won't lead to further conflicts because he loves her and would "loose his freedom for her" but he doesn't want to. The song does a good job of fitting in the message with the changing melody.

System of a Down – Streamline Lyrics 23 years ago
This song is great, I have it stuck in my head, in fact I am reasonably impressed with most of the songs on the Scorpion King soundtrack. Even if its was a stupid movie.
