If you like PETA, you should check this out: http://www.mtd.com/tasty/
Those pricks at PETA shut it down way back in the day, but I still pound red meat like it's my job. Please don't bring animal treatment ethics into musical taste, unless you're gonna write a song about it like Silverchair did (on a mediocre album, no less). |

| Simple Plan – Welcome to My Life Lyrics

I'd just like to point out the fact that the better portion of the people commenting positively on this song, or Simple Plan in general, seem to be girls born somewhere in the 1989-1991 time frame. What does this mean? Simple Plan has a simple plan.... and its working. They write to a demographic, and they make lots of money doing it, although I do question their morals because of it... and their sense of self respect... but I digress. Don't worry, little ones, I probably liked lame, cookie cutter music at some point, too. |

Arguing politics back and forth on a message board for song lyrics, this is so grown up of you all. I like this song, it seems to be about the increasing dystopia in American society. I like this album, for that matter, regardless of political motivation. I like Green Day too. I just thought I'd post something that pertains to SongMeanings... commenting on music, not getting itchy in the panties because someone decided to be awesome and turn this into a political forum for 16-year-olds. Grow up and move it over to a CNN board or something, people who want to discuss music get pissed when they have to sift through the verbal diarrhea you guys are spitting at each other. |

Another correction on the lyrics:
"but i wont give in now
not for a million nows"
is really:
"but i wont give in now
not for any amount."
My favorite song on this album, I'm glad to see them retaining a lot of their roots, not letting their popularity mess with the sound too much. |

"By that time Fast tapped me from behind"
should be...
"By that time Fast tapped me with a nine"
in reference to a 9mm... just thought i'd say it, otherwise good job, this song fuckin rocks. |

Excellent song. It seems like she's talking like she's at a High School reunion and seeing how everyone turned out after they've spent time living in the real world. |

This song is basically about how you can spend years hating the place you live in and that you want to get away, but in the end when you take a look around and everything you've seen, all the memories of days and nights passed makes this place home, and you hate to admit it but your attached to it in a way. |

This song is basically talking about how family tradition will follow you around no matter what you do, making you wish you had "your own flag," a way to stand away from past generations and be different from them. |

This song is so incredible. LTJ has put out some powerful songs, and this is definitely one of them. I think everyone's been to that place at some point when they're just overwhelmed, and you can't seem to find the way to make it right, but you just keep thinking to yourself that its going to work out so don't freak out about it. |

I've been listening to less than jake for 6 years now, and this is one of their best. It's just telling you to open up your eyes and take a good look at the people around you. Do you really know them? If theanswer is no, then maybe you should take the time to do it. That's my take, anyway. |

This song is personally the best love song out of a punk rock band I have ever heard. The duet rocks, Stella (The woman singing, she's in a band out of Austin called Cruiserwieght) Has such a commanding voice. "Just promise me that you will always be/there when i need someone to hear me/ and i promise you that i will be here too" is such a good line. I love this song. |

Well it's quite obvious he's talking about Laetitia, she's a Victoria's Secret model.........not that I look at victoria's secret or anything.......damn. Yeah it's your cookie-cutter "Boy falls in love with the famous chick and feels they have a special connection even though they'll never meet" love song. Catchy stuff, though. |

Incredible bande, reminds me of early Stryder. I couldnt say anything except this song is an ode to every fucking girl i have ever been with. The meaning seems to be pretty straightforward i think.... |
