Are you people on crack? Jeff Buckley quite simply OWNS this song. JB's voice carried a range of 7 octaves. SEVEN! Perhaps it is his death and it's manner that conveys the song is such a haunting way, but this version carries with it a ton of emotion that I don't think you can find in ANY other rendition of it. Stunning. |

A couple of lines I disagree with here:
I think the first line is actually "There isn't much that I feel I need..."
The last verse actually sounds like "I don't mean to seem like I care about material things, like my social stats. I just want four walls and adobe slats, for my girls". That makes more sense, since "stats" rhymes with "slats" AND it really doesn't sound like he's saying "status" anyway.
Also, in the second verse, to me it sounds like he's saying "pressured race" instead of "precious race", but that whole part is pretty tough to make out. The last two lines in particular are kind of a muffled mess!
Gorgeous, transcendent song, though...the whole album is, really. Just awesome.
