Well i heard that this song was about Maynards mum, adn HER name was judith. Apparantly Billy wrote the lyrics for this song, and it had someother title , then Maynard came along and changed the lyrics heaps, and also changed the title. Something to do with the fact that his mother was dying from some terminal illness, but she didn't lose ant faith. Anyways, we all know wat it is about, and we all definalty know that it is a kick ass song. Gotta love it! |

The part about the theft is what i really like about this song. John sings it so well, with so much emotion. I'm sure i have heard "It's all for your money" somewhere before, but i just can't put my finger on it.

The song is about how the media manipulate an issue or a situation so u believe what they want u to believe, and that u take the side of who they want u to side with. John wants people to see the bigger picture and be aware of how manipulative the media and people can be in general. they will tell u anything, if they see a way they can benifet from it. |

He is truly amazing. Can u believe John plays this whole song by himself? He sings, plays the wicked gutiar, AND he plays a foot drum. Goddam he is talented.
I love this song. It is so motivating. Anyone who lacks self-confidence should have a good listen to this.
Coz when I'm feeling down, i listen to this, and it certainly picks me up. |

I have to agree with 'tool 4 my life'. It's about the guy who thinks the girl he loves' life would be better without him. It's a sad song, but DAMN! John knows how to play a gutiar.
What is it with the 11 string gutiar? What did some chop off his 12th string. John certainly is one of the best gutiarist's in the country. Man he plays some wicked solo's. |

I would have to agree. This song is highly underated, it is different. I love the music to it and eddie voice is extraordinary. His lyrical ability is quite amazing.

Well i must totally agree with Emo. This, i believe, is the best Pearl Jam song and the album rocks. Every song is just a must to listen to. The intro on the album version is excellent, it is the perfect start to a song, or an album. The songs off the album all have great intros. |

Eddie bought a corduroy jacket from an op shop for about two dollars and then saw the jacket for sale at a shop for an expensive amount. This made Eddie think about how a rich man wouldn't wear Eddies jacket but would wear one that cost heaps more. Money makes people strange, doesn't it? |

I heard that the first vrese and a bit are about Eddie, but the rest is made up. The song is the first part of a Trilogy. It is one of the great Pearl Jam songs but the version on Ten is not as good as some of the live versions. |
