| U2 – I Will Follow Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
In the book U2 Into The Heart it says that he wrote this song about following his mother throu the next life, and wherever she may go. So in a way, it can be related to God because of the afterlife, but the book says that Bono would follow his mother no matter what, and the growth from a boy to a man. I also think he got a couple of the lines from Amazing Grace "I was blind but now I see, and I was lost but now I'm found" -J |

| *NSYNC – This I Promise You Lyrics | 22 years ago |

To "Jesusmyheartadoresu" I couldn't agree more. Ditto is't a strong enough word for how much I agree, and i want to add a little more. Although I am not a *NSYNC fan, and own none of their CD's, I will tell this story, and hope to touch someone. When I was in 8th grade *a long time ago* I was not a Christian and didn't follow Christ. I was sitting in my bed, listening to a local rock station, at about 2 am. I was upset, depressed, and close to ending my life. I was sitting, and asked the stars, 'if anyone is out there, give me some clue that I'm made to be on this earth.' and, Honest to God, the radio switched and began to play this song. And, it fits, so perfectly, to how I feel, like God was singing to me through Justin. "When the visions around you/ bring tears to your eyes/ and all that surrounds you/ are secrets and lies/ I'll be you're hope/ I'll be you're strength/ keeping you're FAITH when it's gone/ the one you should call/ WAS STANDING HERE ALL ALONG" God it still sends shivers down my spine to think about it.. God is always there, He's just waiting for you to open you're arms and allow him to enter your life and change you for the better. That night, I fell to my knees and accepted Jesus into my life, and will forever thank *NSYNC for that, Amen. THank you. -J |

| U2 – Tomorrow Lyrics | 22 years ago |

I really feel strongly that this song is about the end of the world and Jesus coming back to take his followers back up to heaven with him. When he says "Outside, somebody's outside Somebody's knockin' at the door There's a black car parked on the side of the road Don't go to the door Don't go to the door I'm going out I'm going outside, mother I'm going out there " I think he means that God is waiting for you to come to him and put your life into his hands, but that he won't force you, and that he is going, to give his life to Christ, even though he's scared. He knows that Jesus will be coming back for him, and he wants to let the whole world know how happy he is with Jesus by his side. Somewhere in here, I also think there's a darker, more depressed meaning, but I'm too afraid to look. :P -J |

| U2 – Beautiful Day Lyrics | 22 years ago |

I love this song, I always listen to it every day as I start out my run, b/c sometimes, even though I might not want to run, when I get out there and pop in my U2 mix and this song comes on, I realize how happy I am to be out enjoying nature, even if it's raining or snowing or 110 out, it's a Beautiful Day, and God made it special. -J |

| FFH – On My Cross Lyrics | 22 years ago |

This song is about someone who realizes, in the flesh that Jesus exsisted and took their sins away, but that he himself should've carried his own sins and dealt with them himself, that it wasnt' fair to Jesus. My favorite line is for sure:How deep is Your grace That You could see my need And chose to take my place And then for me, these words I'd hear You say Father no Forgive them for they know not what they do I will go Because I love them so .... Because this appears in the Bible, I think in Matthew, and shows how deeply Jesus loved us. God Bless -J |

| DC Talk – The Hardway Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I can't believe this song hasn't been commented on, I love this song, and it fits me to a T. I think it means that people have to learn the hardway how to do things theirselves, and I think the lyrics are pretty self-explanitory. :) | |

I would just like to say that this is my first time posting, and although I have read many arguments, this one was handled with maturity and honesty on both side of the deal. I believe that people are given their opinions for a reason, and that it isn't our job to tell them they are wrong. I pray for everyone here, that we may try to be more like Christ and less blaming. Amen, and God Bless. -J |
