I know this isn't the band's meaning but it's mine. When I was twelve I moved from ALPINE CA (Hell ya!) to Salinas Ca(piece of shit gang town). I love Alpine and its people, and it was depressing the day I left it. "I dont ever want to feel like i did that day/ Take me to the place I love take me all the way" The song gives me goosebumbs, very good song. I think it probably one of the best guitar pieces the Chili Peppers have. Total masterpiece. |

It is "dodger blue" and "mad doggin me", the lyrics are printed in the Cd booklet of By The Way. I think the song is about gangs. The blue color is the Surenos.I think its making fun of gangs, and trying to convey a message that gangs are dumb and it ruining our mexican youth. He is probably trying to say STOP FIGHTING OVER COLORS AND SIDES OF TOWNs YOU STUPID CABRONS!!!!! |
