Ok, so let me get this straight:
You're the only person to post a comment, nay, two comments, about how much you hate Phish. Yet, this site is clearly called "Song Meanings" whereby the purpose here is to discuss the meaning behind songs and their purpose relvant to the bands. Is this all correct? Just tell me if I'm wrong, because I'm really trying to follow your train of thought here.
No one here cares what you think of Phish. That's not the point of this site. I'm sure if you really cared enough (and by virtue of your past efforts it seems you do), you can go find a "We hate Phish" site and talk all you want about how Trey can't write. I'm not going to waste my time and defend Phish, despite how much I love them, because its obvious that you're a close minded imbecile and nothing will change your mind. Maybe if you actually tried to play some of their material on an instrument you could see what talent they "don't" have.
I'm truly sorry you and your clothes don't like "dingbat hippies" and drugs, but seriously, why vent here? No one is listening. All you're doing is making yourself seem like a low-class ass hole. I guess I shouldn't expect much from some two-bit 15 year old idiot who attempts to "fart riffs". |

It's a fetish thing. Why won't you wear your new trenchcoat as in, the coat only. He's dealing with a total prude and the fact that he can't "steal her innocence" is driving him mad. So he's pleading with her to do something kinky and explicit. Perfect song to have sex to. |

I deffinately don't think it's about a couple. The first impression I got from the song was it was about growing up. You hang out with your friends, you get together, have a toke or 12, then reek havoc, pass out, wake up, and repeat. Its about living with your friends and just living life for yourself. It almost seems Rudeboy-esque to me. |

The drummer didn't quit he's there on the album, they just tried experimenting with different song structures. That's admirable. I like Spoon, they're probably one of the only bands that is still makng new material that I listen to. Since I have this big vendetta against most "new music" these days. |

THe lyric booklet is the story though too. It's a cool booklet. 24 pages it tells the whole story with the lyrics interwinded in there. A must buy for only $3, even though some people are getting away with selling ti for $17 on ebay because GSL is out. |

Eriatarka means "Homeground". I haven't read the book yet, but I think this is the point in the story where Cerpin Taxt is in the Anonymous form when they try to revive the Clavietika in order to destroy Koral. I may be totally wrong though. |
