Adema – Unstable Lyrics 19 years ago
"I keep coming back I never get killed" is the correct lyric for this song. At least that's what the main adema site says.

Alice in Chains – Got Me Wrong Lyrics 19 years ago
It seems like Jerry Cantrell wrote this song about a relationship he had where his heart won't let go of the girl & he's fully aware & accepting of that but his brain is telling him to leave & he's choosing to go with his brain & he knows that he'll eventually grieve the relationship & move on.

Alice in Chains – Junkhead Lyrics 19 years ago
I think everyone is failing to realize that 10 of the 13 songs on the Dirt album were written by Jerry Cantrell, including this one. To understand the meaning of about 90% of Alice in Chains music, you have to keep Jerry Cantrell in mind.
It seems like this song prime example of how Jerry Cantrell was getting sick of the focus the media & critics were placing on the drug use of Alice In Chains & their "duty" as "role models". If you pay attention to the lyrics, it seems like the whole song is mocking druggies & the druggie stereotype in a way. Kinda like they were making fun of those who viewed doing drugs as the cool thing to do or people who just choose not to realize the real hold drugs have on people. The whole song seems to have a sarcastic undertone to it. It especially seems sarcastic when you listen to the rest of the Dirt album, which seems to paint a more balanced view upon the ups & downs of the lifestyle of a drug user (whether or not the songs were directly talking about drug abuse, the influence is still there since Jerry Cantrell & Layne Staley were drug users).
Therefore this song in no way promotes drug abuse & that statement just shows how the focus of a few lyrics of a song can get in the way of the real meaning.

Adema – Blow Away Lyrics 21 years ago
"Blow IT Away" is about escaping a messed up relationship through using coke, I do believe.

Orgy – Stitches Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about being controlled by sex in a relationship, even though the relationship is more detrimental then rewarding and feeling like you're going crazy because you keep going back, knowing how it will turn out.

KoЯn – Trash Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about them cheating and the person who they are cheating on just continues with the relationship, even though they are getting screwed over.

KoЯn – Make Me Bad Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about being in a relationship that is based on sex, acknowledging how in a way it's wrong but still having the desire to continue with it even though it's a known fact it will go nowhere.

Creed – Weathered Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about feeling like you've almost hit rock bottom but there's still the desire to overcome the situation.

Creed – Bullets Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is about getting fed up about not getting anywhere with someone, finding the irony in the situation, and the need for them to at least own up to the fact that they are mistreating you.

Nine Inch Nails – Sin Lyrics 21 years ago
I think it's about a relationship gone bad but he just can't let go completely even though she took so much from him. Basically he's a glutant for punishment.

Nine Inch Nails – Closer Lyrics 21 years ago
It seems like it's about a relationship that was built on sex then it went in a direction that it wasn't supposed to. It's like he knows that all he can have sex but he still can't shake the substantial feelings he pocesses and actually uses the sex as a form of escape or control.

Nickelback – Old Enough Lyrics 21 years ago
The song seems to be about taking a chance on someone who ends up just up making you crazy then realizing you lost part of yourself by trying to make the relationship work. Then when you try to talk things out with the person, it's turned into a joke and you carry forward like nothing happend.

Nickelback – How You Remind Me Lyrics 21 years ago
This song was written for the lead singer's ex-girlfriend. It seems to be about how the relationship was going downhill... even though he tried to change his role in it and he kept trying to justify her actions. Then he takes the blame for her actions by saying that it was his fault for not being good enough, "handing you a heart worth breaking."

Creed – Ode Lyrics 21 years ago
The song seems to be about where somebody is using Scott Stapp (i guess since he wrote it) and instead of leaving him be, they keep doing it, carelessly and giving the impression of enjoying every minute of it.

Nine Inch Nails – The Perfect Drug Lyrics 21 years ago
This song seems to be about a really messed up relationship where you know it's bad but you keep going back for more, making it "The Perfect Drug". The typical codependent relationship pretty much.

submissions
Spineshank – Synthetic Lyrics 21 years ago
The song seems to be about how they want to just conform to the situation and become something fake "synthetic" just so they can cope with it but they still have the conflicting views. I have felt like that plenty of times.

submissions
Spineshank – New Disease Lyrics 21 years ago
The song seems to be a self realization that everything that they try to do, it just causes more problems and that they feel like a scape goat of some kind "Blame myself for what I didn't do". Pretty much they accepted the fact that they're in a Catch 22.

Yeah it's pretty much a punk inspired song about his car. The best Sugar Ray song ever made.

Sugar Ray – Every Morning Lyrics 21 years ago
The song is about his girl cheating on him. The "halo" is a reference to her cheating being validated somehow and how he wants to have that privilege. It's also talking about how everytime he goes to leave her, she sweet talks him back and he falls for it constantly.

This song was supposed to be called "Wife Beater" but that title was shot down.

Sugar Ray – 10 Seconds Down Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is a reference to Mark McGrath and his performance in bed. He says "remote, remote control" because after lasting "10 seconds" he grabs the remote and watches ESPN.
Also, I do believe "it's the death of rock n rol and I'm killin' it". I think the lyrics should be checked out.
