"Or will I see you dear and wish I could come back You found a girl that you could TRULY love again Will you still call for me when she falls asleep Or do we soon forget the things we cannot see " To me, this line brings up the idea of maybe still being able to see the people we leave behind when we die. when we look down on our loved ones, they will still be living their lives. How does the "happy phantom" feel when she or he sees the one they love moved on and with someone else? Is it just that easy to forget someone u can't see anymore? it doesnt mean that those who are deceased arent still present in some other way. or maybe that person still living does wish their love would come back from the dead. I guess i just find this line of the song kinda interesting. |

| tari, do u speak another language? if so, what? anyways, i think that contact with other people is what determines where we will go next, "Contact, thats all that it takes..." the people you meet, your friends and family, those you become close with, maybe even those u end up dating or falling in love with, are what affect your thoughts and your opinions. You learn something from each relationship, and it somehow impacts your life. I don't know if this song gets that deep, but it def is about a guy meeting someone special that has an affect on him. | |

| This song has alot of figurative language in it. I really love that about Tori's songs because its interesting to find out what she means, like a puzzle, or even form your own personal meaning. This song uses references to different kinds of "china" several times. First in reference to the country of china, then "....when you build a great wall around you," could also bring to mind the Great Wall of China, and then the reference to china dishes. It's great. | |
