ok ..i agree with most people on how this is good charlotte's best song, (except for the motivation proclamation!) but can someone try to explain it?? i understand most lines...but some i dont. like "Don't forget to buckle when you fall beneath the pressure of the seconds when your life became a screamer"...what exactly is a 'screamer'?
one more thing, i have the cd, and the lyrics in the booklet thingy say "why is life such an issue in your mind" not "why is life such an issue when you're mind" but to me, it sounds like theyre singing the one that is on here, but i dunno.

i just heard this song the other day...it is sooo good. of all their old songs (before Clarity) i think that this is my favorite. i love clarity and bleed american, but i'm glad they kinda changed theirs ways or whatever. some old or theirs is good, but i dont really like it. this songs awesome, and i agree with Blue dream flyer about the meaning |

i think this is a really good song, at least lyrically. i dont really like the actual song, like the singing and stuff. but tjt's other songs are good. but i agree with what the song is say, like what Ntothedark said. i really like the line "it took years to attain and a second to tear it all down" bc it is so true. |

i used to not like this song, but the other day i decided to actually listen to it all the way thru. and now i like it. i think its a really good song....but when i listened to it, i had to look up the lyrics because where it said "Maybe that doesn't mean us." to me, it sounded lke they were saying "that doesnt need ass" with some kind of accent. but yeah.....now i know i was wrong |

i just read the lyrics again, and i agree w/ emo12punk12metal.
i think with "can you still feel the butterflies?" at first he (they) were kinda nervous when they first started dating or whatever. and they just feel so great when they're around eachother.
"If I don't let myself by happy now then when?" ~ the girl is just kinda like "what the heck, i need to be happy and hopefully this guy will bring happiness"
and then with "can you still hear the lst goodnight"~ i think thats its not like a goodbye forever, like breaking up, but its just maybe the last time they saw eachother or went out on a date, and said their goodbyes for the night.
but i can see a totally different interpretation of this song, more on a depressing/sad side. whatever it's about, i think its the best song on Clarity, after "just watch the fireworks" |

i dont get it how fans get all mad or whatever when "their group get known". be glad that jimmy eat world has become popular and almost huge, thats prolly what they wanted so, whats the point of gettin all annoyed when everyone starts to like them? and also bleed american might not be as good as clarity but it still is good. the only difference i've noticed from the 2 cds is the speed/beat of the songs. clarity is more slow, bleed americaqn more up beat but i still think all of their songs have strong meanings. so all of you 'long time fans' stop complaining, enjoy their music and be glad that they're still around! |
