just want to add some more thoughts...
I think that "they hibernate" doesn't refer to "the oxygen tanks" maybe "they" are the people who aren't on the road. they do nothing but wait. and, could "kiss the asphalt" possibly mean something like "hit the road"? I don't know. Just thought. The "one armed scissor" could be a person who is missing an important part of himself. Anyway, I love this song. |

for me, the best song on "tenement" (besides embroglio). can't figure out what the lyrics mean but Porfirio Diaz was the name of some mexican politician (?) in the late 19th century. at least I think that... |

I don't believe that's about suicide. It would be too obvious. If they had written a song about suicide they'd maybe put it different. I agree with Dead. Maybe the video is more revealing than the lyrics. |

it's a boy-meets-girl thing, I think. but when I listen to this song I always think of a mentally deranged guy who wants to get a certain girl and kill her. he is a kind of a geek and he always calls her, follows her home and when he catches her alone he stabs her. sounds stupid, I know... |
