Eminem – Cleaning Out My Closet Lyrics

i hate rap. always have. always will. i'm a total hippie in every sense of the word, but i just wanted to say that eminem has so much lyrical talent. when i hear his lyrics it amazes me the way he can just keep all of the emotion in those words flowing the way he does. he's a rapping virtuoso and just because i don't like his music doesn't mean i can be blind to the talent he has. |

Dispatch – Mission Lyrics

i think this song's about not stopping or tiring out when you have a purpose or some sort of "mission" as in this particular instense. yeah man, this song has a great attitude that gets you in that break stuff mood. and the guitar solo is a cool addittion too. not to mention the beat when he says, "we on a mission to be so well, oh well.........." that's awesome |

i'm beginning to notice a disturbing, but not surprising trend. while other lyrics of other artists are actually discussed and interpreted in the comments, you dashboard fans spend most of your time defending the band. your lives must suck, i would cry if i was you. wait a minute.............................. |

System of a Down – Toxicity Lyrics

i must agree with the two seed lovers in the crowd--seeds are pretty good. and system of a down is very deep if you ask me, but you didn't, so.............yeah. and the person that put in a comment right before this one, you are the only system of a down fan i know that writes "lol". so, way to be original, i guess. this song is about lots of things, don't have the album, but, i might get it soon, but i'm broke, so,..............right. that is my lame ass comment |

Staind – Pressure Lyrics

hello krissy,
i have two staind albums. tormented and break the cycle. i used to be a hardcore staind fan like yourself until i realized what it was doing to me. listening to downer music like that isn't worth it because all it does is make you pissed off or sad. it pisses me off when bands like staind get so much notoriety when all the do is scream and cry about their pothetic lives and bands like the counting crows and nickelcreek and dispatch can't even get a peice of the limelight because it's being stolen by all of these peirced and tattood idiots with empty lyrics and boring chord progressions. i'm sorry i pissed you off, but it's my opinion. i have a right to be pissed at staind because not only did listening to their music ruin my relationship with my girlfriend of a year and a half, but it also drove me to my rope's end many times over. so cool down, and take a prozac or whatever sort of ridalin crap you metalheads all love to blame your problems on, and maybe when you look in the mirror you will see that the painted face and the peircings are only a cover. |

Dashboard Confessional – Again I Go Unnoticed Lyrics
| 22 years ago

i'm not a true punker by any means. and on the contraire--music cannot die--but genres can, and often do. dashboard confessional is not by any standards emo. it might be emotional--but emo isn't just a definition. it has developed--like it or not--into a genre of sorts and you mindless listeners are calling everything with the phrase "i feel" or "i think" emo music. punk rock is not only the worst crap i've ever listened to, but it's also fast becoming a pop phenomenon--which as you know, can easily die. so don't assume that just because i criticize dashboard that i am some sort of purple hair plaid patched mohawk lip peirced freak. i'm far from it and i have more of a clue than you do. |

Dashboard Confessional – Screaming Infidelities Lyrics

i wish you would all stop crying listening to this crap. how many of you are actually over the age of 13. i mean, jesus christ, you are all pothetic. and sapphstorm--you should rename yourself shitstorm you teenybopping loser. the next album you cry threw will hopefully drive you to put a bullet in your face. please spare me the drama. i don't appreciate chris sharing his pain with my girlfriend and making her a bitch all the time because some emokid made her sad. stop crying and drop the act because no one cares. just because your boyfriend hates you doesn't mean you need to make me care. ogre dude had it right--get a life or lose your life--either way--no one cares. and chris is so rich now--he couldn't give a shit about your problems. you're probably crying by now--so go scream into a pillow or something dramatic like that.
yours truly,

Staind – Pressure Lyrics

i'm sorry you have to listen to this pothetic music. tune down your e's to d's and scream about your truly and utterly sad lives and sell millions of copies of crap. and if you don't know what i'm talking about--you are blind to the media which holds you in their palms. you listen to staind because mr. limp himself put his seal of approval on it like that means something to anyone. staind needs to lose the drugs-- and i feel sorry for aarons new child--for she/he is destined to lead a really fucked up life. yours truly,

i wish the so called "emo-movement" would either take off the mask and come out as punk rock for pussies or go away. dashboard is not- i repeat not emo, you have all been lied to. i know that's gonna be hard for you to take especially when you are all crying every night all alone listening to this loser cry to acoustic guitar-but i'm dead serious. emo has been dead since the thirties, and not even the biggest and saddest loser can bring it back- so go home all of you fake music renegades. quit trying to capatalize off of your emo-tions. |

Nickel Creek – Reasons Why Lyrics

this song is about a persons personal relationship with God. "i don't remember one jump or one leap, just quiet steps away from your lead" that's definitely about falling away from God. it's very sad, really. |

ShFalco, please explain. though i can understand the other side of the row, you have a flaw also. none of the rest of your explanation is clear to me. i'm not saying that you are wrong, i'm saying that maybe you could explain deeper. i don't see the slavery in it at all. maybe it is deeper than most would like to think |

Dispatch – The General Lyrics
|
this song is blatently about doing the right thing when the odds are against you. this man, or general i should say, is taking into account the fact that the men in his infantry have families, mothers and wives and such, and doesn't want to have his men die for, what he thinks is, not a worthy cause. but what i love about this song is that, not only does he tell the men to go home, but he then goes on and fights the battle himself. in a way, he's saving these men's lives, but still sacrificing his own. that can be taken religiously also, if you think about it, send me a message with your comments. |

though you are open to views that differ, i do not feel that this song has to do with God or Jesus or some abstract meaning. this song, i think, is about the justice(or injustice) system that we have in place today. obviously not literally today, because of references to the gallows and so on. basically, it's about a man who has been singled out by the law because he is of no social class to fit otherwise, and so he is wrongfully charged. i think this happens alot today, and that this song should be taken to heart when judging people by their appearance. |
