The Pirate, i agree with you completely. Matchbook romance is completely underrated, i just saw them at warped tour and they were sooooooooo good live! I had a chance to meet all of them and get them to sign my cd. Next year their full length cd comes out and the lead singer assured me that it will be "f**kin awsome, man!" And that is good enough for me! |

I can't believe that there aren't more people replying to this song, this is def my second fav thursday song (under understanding in a car crash). This song is just so overwhelmingly emotional it amazes me. Geoff is the best lyric writer ever, and singer, even though the entire band pitched in to write these lyrics. If anyone has not read the story behind this song it is so crazy and unbelieveable that it makes me shudder. This is one of my favorite bands. |

Personally I think that good charlotte is trying too hard to be hardcore. Note, Joel is now sporting the backwards hat and bandanna, Benji now has the goth makeup (nothing against it) Notice in the video for LotRF GC flashes anarchy signs throughout the video. Now, i wonder what their views on that topic are? Personally i don't think that they are really anarchists. When i picked up thier self-titled years ago i though "hey they have some talent" Then upon listening to their new cd....Its all directed to little girls that are obsessed with joel or benji...They are identical twins! If you are looking for physical appearence alone then how do you make a choice? They are going downhill fast. What "talent" they had is now diminished.
By the way, a couple years back my cousin's band TBR beat GC in a battle of the bands up in The Vault in Maryland/DC area. Take that!!!! |

Reese is the best singer/songwriter ever. His powerful relationship with God has gifted him with a great way to communicate to people. When i saw them at Cornerstone i freaked out. Five Iron Frenzy is the best band to see live. I hope that i could ever write lyrics half as meaningful and wonderful as his. Too bad about them breaking up. At least i got to see them once. When i saw them live at Cornerstone Festival I was deeply moved. Reese cried durring this song as he usually does when they play it live. He said he had been praying for a real moving song...And I think he got it!!!! |
