You know what's funny? So I'm a MASSIVE moody blues fan, I've heard this song time after time after time. My friend on the other hand..well he likes songs here and there. But when he heard this song did the first time and looked at the lyrics, his immediate conclusion was "it's about the need of a creator and savior", which he answered with so quickly and confidently. I never thought of that perspective before, thinking of it just as about the vietnam war. What do you guys think? Is he on to something? |

The one line is obviously about Masturbation, the narrator seemingly using it as a way to distract himself from the subject of the song. "What do you care", he wonders if she even would care if she has known that her departure resulted in him getting addicted to masturbation |

You know I always used to think this song was clearly about sex but after hearing the argument for it being about touring, something I hadn't even heard before , I see it. Definitely a better interpretation for me personally. |
