@[SlasheeTheCow:54595] Part 4: With the repeat of the chorus it is another indication of their inner strength coming out as a result of great pain, perhaps a crisis of not being able to find answers to questions they believe they desperately need answered. "Just as I'm sinking down, You reach in and pull me out" is this inner strength or 'murmur' once again appearing only when absolutely required and saving the protagonist from some fate, possibly falling into deep depression, another mental health condition, or perhaps drug addiction. "Safe from the rising tide, Safe from the world outside" is this strength taking them back to a location they are familiar with and do not have any fears, likely the location where they were at the start of the song. |

| @[SlasheeTheCow:54594] Part 3: "We shuffle through pockets, For the answers and lint we find" is the protagonist seeking for answers, perhaps to existential questions, or just about their own being, and hoping the answer is easy at hand. The 'lint' implies that where they are searching they are finding a lot that is utterly meaningless. Note that it has gone back to 'we'; they are not currently operating independently, likely meaning the strength has disappeared back in to them but they still acknowledge its presence. The strength is not there when they think they require it the most. | |

@[SlasheeTheCow:54593] Part 2: "Time waits for no one, no one has time to waste" is a detached way of looking at time from the outside and not recognising themself as being part of a the system they describe. |

I believe the "murmur inside my heart" is a kind of inner strength we aren't even aware we have, that cannot be called upon at will. "Silence is comforting" and "no sign of movement" being "at peace" implies the protagonist is completely comfortable in an environment where there are no obvious threats or danger. "All that we hope for, all that we call our own" with "no rules to follow" suggests the protagonist is now seeing their own mind, with the collective 'we' for perspective likely either to indicate some emotional detachment to the situation or that they recognise the 'murmur' is there with them. "We must break in or be left out" seems to express that the protagonist is now somehow trapped outside their own mind and is desperate to find a way back in. "We are on our own pulling teeth out for the fun of it" implies a great inner turmoil the protagonist is suffering which causes extreme pain, likely emotional. "I can't believe it, you showed courage the brave dream of" is this inner strength surfacing and the protagonist realising how powerful it really it is. Note the use of going back to 'I' for perspective and referring to this murmur as 'you', no longer a collective, implies that they realise it is not a simple part of them, it has a will of its own. "I live to regret you" is the protagonist now mourning that they understand they have this strength, but it cannot be called upon at will, only appearing when required. But it is likely that this strength has helped them 'break in' as they needed to in the previous verse. |
