| I think this song is about how crazy that this person has the singer feeling. "Running on a treadmill" to me, symbolizes how much they're chasing after this person but they're going nowhere. the parts where he says "You got me so" over and over again is the singer feeling crazy once again over this person, maybe the person riles the singer up that they go yk insane. The only part I can't truly decipher is "I know what's on your mind but it's not what you think it is." Maybe the person thinks the singer only wants them for some sort of sexual interaction but when in reality the singer truly loves the other person, even in a crazy ass way lol. In the live version he adds more lyrics indicating the person the singer is talking about has their whole body in a state. so yea lol | |

As a person with bpd this song is literally my lifeline. I love this song and I would die for it. This song feels exactly how it feels to be in a relationship with someone with bpd going back and forth on good or bad things. The way you'd feel so much love for a person and not even a minute later switching into hating the, for their flaws or good qualities, it sounds like jealousy in this song, talking about how they have friends, and how the persons friend knows that the person who's saying bad things is well, a bad person. When you have bpd, you often have thoughts of hurting your partner or being abusive thinking it's another sort of way to love. (It isn't and I think the opposite but yk,) I think this song is the persons mind thinking about all this stuff. The cum part is also a big play, sexual thoughts taking over with the bad thoughts is what I mean by abuse and stuff, I hate sexual things but I always think about it no matter what. this song is literally me. |

When I listen to this song it feels so church like and very cultish like, almost like an office trying to preach something to their workers? I really love the beginning part of this song because it sounds like a boss talking to you trying to tell you "Hey I'm here for you but not here for you!" Something very corrupt yk? Birdhouse in your soul means like a little house for someone else, maybe work. and more work. This song to me is just about work and stuff lol. "Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet make a little birdhouse in your soul" and (and while you're at it leave the Nite lite on inside the birdhouse in your soul) sound so like a boss telling you, hey back to work buddy time to leave the lights on and make sure work is the only little thing you have in Ur soul! |

To me this song feels just like being a teenager feeling like glitter and sparkles but again, the angst of it, being a sleepyhead and staying inside all day while others are having fun, and you're just stuck. The intermission feels like you're at some bonfire with friends or doing a dum teenager! I feel like some lyrics are explaining what i mean by angst, I also see it as someone being there for you and lifting you up. even if you're a sleepyhead lol |
