This is one of the hottest songs to exist that is purely about lust and obsession. It also describes my situation currently with this guy I keep seeing and he even showed this song to me. It’s about two individuals who shouldn’t be together, but it’s too late to turn back now. They have created this inescapable connection that focuses on physical romance rather than emotional romance. He met a girl that he thought wouldn’t have an impact on him, since all the girls he had been with before was easy to get over. However this one girl is not like the rest. He once thought of her as something disposable after he got what he wanted, like hooking up. Little did he know it wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to see more of this girl. In this case there is an insane attraction between the two, yet she’s not even showing signs of emotional attachment, or maybe just caught up with life that he is not a priority.. and this hurts his ego. The roles have now reversed. He is now obsessed with her and wanting to know how she feels about him, since she doesn’t talk much. This is pretty common behavior in people when we want something we can’t have, the value of it increases. In his eyes her value goes up and it gives him a challenge which is very sexy. She gives him just enough attention to keep him hooked like casually meeting once in a while. All the other girls he tries to replace her with is just not HER. He is stuck lusting after her over and over again wondering when he will ever get to see her again, crawling back to her. |
