Jade is considered the national stone of Japan, a symbol of wealth and power, and an epitome of Japanese aesthetic - asymmetry, imperfection, and impermanence. The song is inspired by Yoshiki\'s experiences of suicide, and can be interpreted as a love letter to those who find themselves faulty and unworthy of life - reminding that there is somebody who thinks that their scars make them beautiful and they are too dear to lose. |

A lot of X Japan\'s song are about Yoshiki\'s pain of losing his father to suicide. He mentioned in We Are X documentary that he felt like he was the reason behind his death, as well as deaths of X Japan band members. \n\nThe below explanation of "rusty nail" being an old and forgotten memory that will occasionally stab you without warning - I can\'t think of anything more on point, and I actually came here to know what that metaphore means. |
