This isn’t one I hear much anymore. I knew 35 years ago when I got crushed by my first love she would always stay with me in my heart. It hurt bad enough to send me down a lot of roads I shouldn’t, and to hang with shady characters that I shouldn’t. Losing her was devestating and life changing in the worst way. My best friend moved out of state and I lost my job within 2 months as well. So life was kicking my ass pretty good. This song was out back then (1987), and there was no internet or really getting in touch with anyone from your past back then unless you were some kind of stalker lol. So I never thought I’d even see her face again or know how her life had turned out. That said, even when I was 16 or 17, I knew this song was going to be one I would always relate to her. FF to the 2000’s and social media and we reconnect once in awhile sending messages. Nothing deep. Her life had gone on. She was married, had two kids and that was that. I was happy to hear life was good to her. I was finally getting it together after a decade of decadence. Eventually I straightened out my life, but never forgot her. Then I saw her at my wife’s class reunion. One look at her and all those years of feelings rush back and she took my breath away. I felt like I might pass out. It was that intense. She was still beautiful. Still the one that crushed me all those years ago, and I felt 16 again. I knew she’d been divorced and was seeing someone. I promised myself long ago to never get into the middle of someone else’s relationship again. So I did the right thing. Left it alone and live with wondering what might have been. Heartbreaking in a bittersweet way. Some things you just live and die with. I think most people have that one relationship regret where they feel like it should’ve turned out different. I don’t think it’s a plea to get them back, although the thought ran through my head a hundred times through the years. But music has always been a great way to put into words, the feeling and description of the impact someone had on your life. |

@[Bahnsenite:37900] The Godhead is a Catholic creation. Jesus is not God. Jesus was the Michael the Archangel who took human form as Jesus. God is God. There is no holy spirit separate from any other heavenly creation and God himself. Angels are spirit beings created by God. Michael the Archangel took human form in Jesus and was/is the first, the most loved and powerful angel. Other angels may have, and maybe even likely were created by Michael with Gods authority, as Jesus is Gods only begotten Son. Jesus was Michael in human form, and thus understands the human condition, giving him first hand knowledge and understanding of why we are the way we are and asking forgiveness from God for our transgressions even during his fateful hour. A time where he was indeed afraid enough to sweat blood as he knew what lay ahead. "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do" This makes Jesus the perfect heavenly ruler over humans at his appointed time. He knows why we are the way we are and knowing that we are subject to all manners of unrighteousness, He still loves us. His promises will become manifest. In his Kingdom, the worthy will live in paradise on earth. Not floating around with harps on clouds.... that's just ridiculous. If God wanted us to live in heaven, he would have created us to do so. The truth is, we will live as we were intended, forever in earthly paradise, or just maybe, the universe will be ours to roam and explore for eternity if we choose. The wicked shall perish. Not go to a burning lake of fire, but rather they will perish never to live or exist again. What purpose would a torment of eternity serve for a God of Love? It makes no sense, much like most absurd doctrine that is designed to enrich the false profits of false teachings in false churches. God doesn't care about Tithing,Hail Marys and Our Fathers chants. It's completely absurd. Think about it. What he does want, is for us to worship him for the magnificent being that he is, for us to obey the commandments laid forth. To be good people, to heed the words of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and to seek him out to better understand his will and have a relationship with him so that when it comes time, he will know you. Wake up people!!!!! |
