pretty easy to get- it is about abduction, torture and rape. there is a rumor that the line "pictures" of naked ladies, was originally "pieces" of naked ladies, but was discouraged due to it's graphic and disturbing nature. would make sense, as blackie used to have his girlfriend tied up naked on stage and would pretend to slice pieces off of her, and throw said pieces into the audience. of course it was only raw meat, and just a trick, but that dark sort of subject matter was the basis of most wasp songs. |

first off, the girl making sex sounds was indeed Adriana Smith, Adler's on and off girlfriend, doing it with Axl. Vic Deyglio had the job of recording it, and had to come in at one point to reset a mic that was knocked when Axl and Smith crashed into it, and is credited in the appetite liner sleeve as "vic "the fucking engineer" deglio" As for the actual rocket queen, that was supposed to be a girl with a rep in the underground who later became a madam. Axl said the song was written for a girl who "kinda kept him alive for a while" as a sort of form of gratitude and thanks. The girl was supposed to be trying to make it in her own group, that she was going to call "Rocket Queen". There are however interpretations that the song is about a prostitute, and axl is playing the role of a pimp who is trying to persuade her to work for him. |
