Nick wrote this song about John's departure in 1997, I gather that when he returned to Duran for the reunion, he had to apologize to Nick, I wander what was said upon John's departure. |

As the above reviewer said, this song was a dig a Q magazine, there review of the Thank You album was horrendous, even going as far to question Simon's singing ability. |

I have a feeling this song is also about John, his behaviour at the time, Simon was having a really hard time with him, John's life was falling apart and the line at the end, "the thought that you want might want to be me", John wanted to be more like Simon and the life he had. |
