| Mountain – For Yasgur's Farm Lyrics | 7 years ago |

In the Canned Heat bio "Living the Blues", they mention that CH met up with Pappalardi after both had played, and were desperately trying to get out of there through the sea of people. Pappalardi is said to have stolen a limo, and CH caught a ride with him. May be what "We haven't come so far to lose our way" is about. The relationship lyrics could be about Collins and Pappalardi, who had a very troubled relationship (she ended up murdering him years later), possibly the "jealously and lies" reference. |

| The song is a tribute to Woodstock, at which Mountain played, you can hear them on the 2nd Woodstock album. Max Yasgur was the farmer whose land they used for the festival. The lyrics are a bit trippy and existential, like Joni Mitchell's Woodstock. | |
