The Rolling Stones – Dead Flowers Lyrics 6 years ago
This song is about the Grateful Dead specifically a response to the song on Workingman's dead called "New Speedway Boogie". "New Speedway Boogie" was about the events that lead to a mans death at the Altmont music festival. "Please don't dominate the rap Jack if you got nothing new to say" The Dead held Jagger largely responsible for what happened. The Stones refer to the Dead as Little Suzie in reference to the Dead cover of the Everly Bros song "Wake Up little Suzie." The reference to Roses on your grave is a direct reference to the Dead's recurring rose images in the music and artwork and the grave is a direct reference to the Dead.
