@[Starwatcher23:23469] I am not Christian, but this song is certainly a lament that Christ's sentiments - as expressed in the Sermon on the Mount - have been essentially reversed in modern culture. Most folks haven't picked up on the biblical links, so don't let these fiends get you down. For the most part, they will be parroting the Think for Yourself line, oblivious of the fact that someone else had to tell them to think for themselves :-) Plus, OF COURSE it is related to the Trump presidency though the context is much wider, plainly - Jeez! |

Folks, MJK is here reversing the contents of Christ's Sermon on the Mount, (Matthew 5-7) to reflect our morally impoverished state - the original Sermon included a series of 'beatitudes' such as 'Blessed are the meek, they will inherit the Earth'. Therefore the lyrics are not 'newbie attitudes' but 'new beatitudes'. |
