this song is dark :/ it's definitely clear that she (because singer are female) lost someone important. this person already died ("ghost is suggest that he's dead") , she try to remember/ keep that person all she can ("I try to protect you,I can't let you fade"), even dream about that person every night. to understand this, think about your lover (if you're women) you believe that he's your true soul mate, you have a good time for sometime but then he been call up for War, 7 day later He's gone. that is the situation that you have to deal with. |

depends on how you thoughts of the song, this song may link to the God quote "second paragraph" this more likely to represent God because the singer said this person created him, teaching/tell him the way "When I can only see the floor, you made my window a door" also how he feel that that God has become part of him even know God is a myth. just like weird chemical bound. But also this song can be see at a love couple "true love", the singer said that he just like a kid in adult body which suggest that everyone else don't really understand him. then he said that everyone wan't to be someone else who better, lucky, special but we need to relied who you really are, we willing to be like that other person but we not willing to completely change (because is not you, that is not who you really are). but his partner always understand who he is and completed him. so he want to show that you don't have to be that other person but rather get someone to completed you, who understand you. Last thoughts:"I'm just a speck inside your head" this song might be about relied who you really are,that another person inside of you. sometime you will feel like someone always asking you about your decisions that you has made,sometime you forgot about that person but you still feel it because you still have consciousness. and like before you try to be somebody else not your own. that little consciousness is you, is who you are. |

(GCSE Poetry) level of explanation (also is an opinion) First we need to know what the themes of the song: Motivation, Emotion, Human, hope. [should consider] 1st: quote "take it from me" does it sound like the narrator was the mother or important of the person she talk about? 2nd:the used of 'direct address(can be something else but i can't remember :P)' "you" suggests that the narrator try to give us the message, me, you and everyone who listen to this song. 3rd: combine both 2 point we get the summary of we're her child and she about to teach us how/why/ to 'not give up. First the beginning of the song usually hid a lot meaning, because song just like a poetry "You're alone, you're on your own, so what?" already we can see the 'motivation' attempts. this is going to be very long and boring if i'm doing full analysis so i'll to good point. "Have you gone blind?,Have you forgotten what you have and what is yours?" the used of rhetorical question suggest that narrator asking a question about what you own, from what we get so far make the narrator more likely to ask "you have you life, have you give it up already?" but is such a great quote that is can meaning so many way such as consciousness of being yourself, if you lose it you become someone else. is up to you what meaning you want it to be but i bet is should be close to mine. You can be king again suggest you will become strong again, because King rule everything, old believe that king are the representative of God himself. the word 'again' told us that he is king before. just like us we take control of our life just like a king but then sometime we lose that feeling. You don't get what all this is all about You're too wrapped up in your self doubt You've got that young blood, set it free as a human we always have something to learn or we always doing something mistake, that is what pulling us back and sometime we find is hard to move on but the narrator told us learn to be more positive etc. There's method in my madness There's no logic in your sadness You don't gain a single thing from misery Take it from me i'm prefect sure in first line but: Narrator said that is might be crazy too do what she said and is true, not every problem can be look at positive side, imagine you have a company but is goes bank corrupt and you said to yourself, this is fine i'll start again. yes only mad man or real life fighter would thing that way but then we move to the next line, a counter point. she said that sadness is not complicate and you don't receive any benefit for having it. sorry for being lazy but summary: song is about motivation, sometime life is not what you expected but you have the power to overcome it but just not giving up. you yourself are the king of your life and the monster are just many problem that you have to defeat. something that has been done is can't be undone but you can learn from it and make a better way later on. |
