@[WynterArlene:21745] I mean sure, that's what the song might be written about. That's utter bullshit though. Like, that quote from him alone is so ridiculously sexist, because not only is it him assuming shit without ever actually seeing what the ex-girlfriend has to say about it, it's also assuming the ex-girlfriend is, for some reason, being cruel. So not only did he go to some dude's instagram post and only get his side of the story, and not even think to include the girl's perspective, he assumed that she was also just a terrible person. For all we know, that guy on Instagram could have just gotten way to emotionally invested with a girl who didn't really like him, but hooked up with him, and then she broke it off entirely. And now she's just going off to live her best life. |

This song is sexist as all shit. It sounds like is some dude whining about the fact that a girl hooked up with him but didn't really want a relationship, and then went off and continued living her life. But he's so fucking self-centered that he thinks that because she is having fun and putting it on social media, it must be some kind of targetted thing against him! Bullshit. The phrase "You just want attention" is gross already, this song just makes it so much worse. |
