TesseracT – Concealing Fate, Part 1: Acceptance Lyrics 8 years ago
I think Concealing Fate is actually a story told backwards, with Acceptance being the conclusion. It's all about letting go of the past overcoming feelings of loss or maybe even anxiety. Hear me out.

Origin is where it begins. Its a song clearly about losing a loved one in some way or another. Could simply be a bad break up or something, as corny as it sounds, but there's a lot of initial feelings of pain, betrayal, loneliness, and of course anger and confusion. Wishing they had never even perused love, "Wish that you had never begun this endeavor". It's over, and he is broken and shook from the sudden loss "why should it end this way?" He is withdrawn, building walls around him, denying chances of ever falling in love again, to never feel vulnerable to the pain.

Next is Perfection and Epiphany. This is about envy. This is our character trying to cope after his loss. He would give anything to feel love again, and he would give anything to be someone better, someone capable of loving, and being loved, even for "just one moment." He has become so low, he would rather be someone else. Epiphany has no lyrics, so I kind of treat these two as one song.

The Impossible is where he begins to realize something. He isn't sure how he's feeling and he isn't even sure why he should even let himself become so low. "don't you know how you're feeling?" He's beating himself up internally because he knows he's better than this, calling himself a "disgrace, is this how you plan on treating yourself?". He's also telling himself to breath, keep himself safe. He's telling himself its time to move on "Don't you think it's been long enough?" He's realized what he once thought was impossible is possible. He can over come this loss, and this pain is not foever. He can achieve the impossible.

Deception is a continuation of the impossible. "so my demons, your time has come", he is confronting himself and his inner demons that tell him he's not good enough, that keep him in pain and unable to let go of her.

Finally Acceptance. Finally he is moving on, after keeping his wounds open for her, he is learning to let go yet he keeps the scars to remind him of what he had to overcome. "Keep these wounds open for you, now they're closing, scars remind me every moment". He recollects on everything. Everything he ever said to her, he meant, regardless of the confusion in his mind after the fact, like wishing he was someone else or wishing they had never fell in love. He may have meant it then, but now he takes it all back. Because he no longer needs her. Because he realized, "All I ever needed was here."
