I also know that "Passive" and "Potions" were originally Tapeworm projects with Trent Reznor and Danny Lohner, I could tell you things YOU Don't even know about MJK who I have seen in concert at least 15 times in all 3 bands and have met him myself personally. But...I don't know what I'm talking about... Oh I know one more thing too... your the type of fan he would love to punch in the face. | |

Well honestly its quite obvious to me anyway what this song is about : Its a warning from the dead about DRUGS specifically - "The more you take, the more you need The more you suck, the more you bleed" = DRUGS. "The dead know better so listen to the letter", this is saying all these dead people from DRUG USE, "The letter" is the news articles/other obvious info that clearly shows what happens to people when they use these drugs, and I will even take it a step further and say that they are talking about heroin specifically, - "the more you suck the more you bleed" That's about it. I don't why so many Maynard fans have to obsess over his wine more than he does...... Anyway thats it, pretty simple to me, This song pairs well with the song "potions", another one about drugs, but this time from the point of view of the user instead of the non-user warning him. |
