This is you "Let's look at things from the perspective of a rapist because the rapist didn't think it was wrong!" Stop making excuses for men who behave badly. This song is about sexual harassment, dummy. Women have to deal with groping, cat calling, and staring all day, everyday. Pink is basically mocking and insulting men who sexually harass women and think they are entitled to our bodies, space and time, that we dress up for them and exist solely to entertain them. It's an existence you can't possibly conceive of, so instead you assume the song is about hating men. Except the part where it's not. It's a song about HATING ASSHOLES. If you aren't one of those assholes, then this song isn't about you. Or maybe it is, and that's why you responded by insulting people who love Pink. Women don't have an "unconscious desire" to do anything. Some women dress up for attention. Some don't. Either way, who cares? This song isn't about that. It's about respecting other people regardless of their reasons for dressing the way they do. Groping, catcalling, and staring is WRONG. Act like a decent human being and stop making excuses for sexual harassment. |
