The Wood Brothers – The Luckiest Man Lyrics 8 years ago
I love the thoughts on the meaning of the song. My own opinion is that it is about addiction. I think that that first verse is talking about surrendering to addiction. In the as/na big books the first steps are admitting to being powerless, accepting that I am an addict, and surrending to it. It makes sense for the chorus. You cant fight addiction and beat it, or ever beat it, but to speak in a white knuckle sort of way. Just a thought. Thanks, friends for letting me share.
