1913 and 1938 were the years before WWI and WWII. The question mark at the end of 197? implied that WWIII was just around the corner. Could it be about partying before the next war? Also Cold War tensions were high between America (where he resided) and the USSR. |

Taste the whip and bleed for me" is from The Velvet Underground's song "Venus in Furs" based off the 1870 album of the same name. He was given a copy of the album "The Velvet Underground and Nico" before the release. He was heavily influenced by it as you can tell from his covers and this song. |
