Well there's a mistake in the given lyrics. Does anyone else hear him singing "SHE's become me best friend. I wanna love you but I don't know if I can"? To me this song is more like talking about a man who finds himself fallen in love with another person (who he refers as "she" and his best friend) but doesn't want to be a bad guy and still tries to love his old lover (who he refers as "you"), trying to fix it anyway he can, not knowing if he can make it. "I dive in at the deep end She's become my best friend I wanna love you but I don't know if I can I know something is broken And I'm trying to fix it Trying to repair it Anyway I can" He wanted to tell her ("you") the truth, but was not able to. She felt it as well, because she's also trying to repair it anyway she can. "Trying hard to speak and Fighting with my weak hand Driven to distraction It's all part of the plan When something is broken and you try to fix it Trying to repair it anyway you can" |
