@[sam1000054:7870] I am along the same train of thought as you Sam - a dialogue between 2 separate identities. But instead of being 2 separate individuals, I believe the conflict is going on in his own head whilst looking at himself in the mirror. Or for a simpler metaphor, one shoulder has the good side talking into his ear and the other shoulder has the bad side just telling him to give up and let the worst in him take over whatever pathetic remnants there are left inside of him. |

*** IT IS PERSONAL STRUGGLE WITHIN HIS OWN MIND *** He is looking at himself in a mirror and battling his own internal demons (thoughts). It is depicted by the lyrics which are two-fold, coming from two different sources within the one individual. Yes, the conflicting voice inside all of us. He's practically caught in the middle of his own self demise/ self destruction and on the verge of losing his good natured identity to the grim person he knows that he is becoming. |
