Five Finger Death Punch – Coming Down Lyrics 10 years ago
I was unsure of this songs full meaning until I watched the video. 5FDP makes it very, very clear. It is a song about standing on the ledge (i.e. suicide, ready to jump) and how one friend can pull you down off of the ledge and back to solid ground and safety. It is saying that we all need to have that friend that keeps us stable, but we also have to be that friend. The video is VERY powerful. If you have a heart, then it will bring tears to your eyes. It is very graphic and shows two teens committing suicide. It then show the events leading up to them doing so down to deciding, planning, and prepping. It then shows friends intervening at the last second and thus unknowing saving the teen's lives. It ends with the message "ONE FRIEND CAN SAVE A LIFE" and follows up with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline contact information.

Like I said, very powerful. Every parent of a teenager needs to watch it and then sit down and watch it with their teen and then discuss it. I would go so far as to say it should be shown in school as part of health class and then an open discussion on suicide.

@[masturbator:5163] - I think you took a song with a very powerful and important message and decided to be a jerk and attempt to damage or remove that. I wonder why. Did the song hit too close to home? Are you hurting? If so, please get help.

@[Ange1ofD4rkness:5162] - You really need to watch the video on 5FDPVEVO YouTube page. It is not about following a crowd. At that it is more about living outside the crowd. It is a song about standing on the ledge (i.e. suicide, ready to jump) and how one friend can pull you down off of the ledge and back to solid ground and safety.
