Although possibly false, It's my interpretation that this song is about a girl he has a an incredible crush on / cares for / loves but (FOR WHATEVER REASON) she doesn't know him or that he even exists. You'll see what I mean, it's all in the chorus "If you could see me whoever I am, it's not like a movie but it's not all skin and bones So come on love(come on, come on, come all and go) Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah I will not let you go" Anyway personally thinking about the sings mean in this way made me love it more than the general consensus of it being actually about not being able to let go of an old girlfriend/bad break up.
